I was told by my colleague on fine wine investment in Singapore. This however, a series of question came across my mind. What is the actual investment strategy for a newbie like us? I evaluated the most popular which is lower risk investment in Singapore.

Firstly, whereby a extraordinary super safe investment is, Fixed Deposit. The thing is that is only offer a below 1% rate from most of local bank within a short term period. Secondly, the Guaranteed Funds, it does offer a greater return compared to the Fixed Deposit. Just the matter that, your fund will be locked in a longer period up to 5 years. There are Bond Funds which available largely in the financial hub city like Singapore. Alot of Financial Institute based in Singapore has offered a wide range of products to the customer. But the concern is, it will be a risk involved which higher compared to the Fixed Deposit and Guaranteed Fund.

Let's review back to the Fine Wine Investment. I was told by a broker and it will generate a guarantee of 10% after a year upon the money I've invested. No tax, no management fees, and 100% capital guaranteed. A series of questions were on my mind, I wonder how they define each wine valuable, how much does the fine wine being appreciated just after a year? Are they being reported to any cases? Are all these Fine Wine Investment company are regulated in Singapore? I got offended when the broker asked me "How much you want to invest in?" This is the first statement I've got from when I answered the phone. I was not convinced at all! and yet he did not show the interest to introduce the product on me.

I got to really study well before I made a decision to invest to the Company. All in all, I still believe capital investment fund would be safer for a short term basic return. Of course it does has risk involved...

Working Life in Japan

Yooo everyone, I've been slack with my blogs update recently. As I am super busy with the job performance, there hasn't been much to write about but i've got some materia to dig into sooner or later. I was in Japan for about 6 months during my work with Japanese company.

This is my third blog after my returned from Japan. I got confused myself since I tend to have no idea what to write and perhaps posting photo will be enough. Although I had been staying almost 6 months in Japan, but I am even sure how to write for such an entry. The reason is I do not want it to be a personal diary entry.... or? Pretending I do have an audience to listen what I've posting off?

Since the March 2007 after the returned from the interview in Singapore. I have gotten the offer with the Japan trip for on-job training offer. Waited and waited, finally got the chance to be stationed in oversea. In Japan, I met alot of other cool people. I knew the Japanese culture, the passion towards to the job performance, etc. Besides that, I've visited Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya, Mie, and alot of more. Hence, I would like express my thankful to these cool people and being there with me when I was alone in Japan. Without your guidances, I would not be succesful as my main problem is the language itself.

Sunday Morning

beeps.. beeps.. i'm currently in singapore? oh yes, my hdb flat just next to the main road, noisy traffic as usual everyday. Look at the clock, 7.30am?

ITS Sunday Morning!!! and time to go through some of the humdrum manifestations which occupy my day of REST!!!

First, I went to jog for 2 kilometers, it took me about 40 minutes. I turn on the computer and check up on my email traffic, delete spam. Briefly read what I deem to be important and delete those are not relavents! On completion, I usually get up to brew a cup of coffee only to seat myself down to some reading on Newspaper! and the ChannelNewsAsia Online Newspaper.

A series of actions usually occupies a large portion of the morning as dissemination of information will run its course with some copy-pasting actions and TOUGH question. Mostly, it is a time spent on diversifying brain activity with the new information and cognitive dissidence.

Sunday Morning is the moment to fill my brain activity for the rest of the day, trying to work out the why’s and what-for’s behind each segment of examined information.

Not bad for a Sunday Morning. The rest of the afternoon is spent in menial activities such as TV watching, buying take-aways and generally lazing around waiting for the Monday to Friday excitement to roll-on-up and devour my everyday existence. Tonight I will be dining with friends!

The Return

“Papa and Mama… I am coming home on Saturday…”

The question on my mind is: “Are you happy to be home?” My answer is less straight forward than one might expect. Yeah, I am absolutely felt happy to be home and see my family and friends but I also left behind friends and family. To be honest, I did not think that I would miss the name at “MMU” very much at all. But I knew that I’d deeply miss the time hanging around with friends. I am leaving MMU, this coming Saturday, I will no longer be at my school…

5 years has gone so fast! This is something like happened JUST yesterday. I had the memories, and these memories are playing like a film without sound and keep repeating what was happening.

With such a short time left, I have, to be like you and again and again thought of parting with my university friends. Reading your mind was like reading my own feelings. It almost made me cry (Not so Kua Chong :P). I hate to say goodbye. Goodbye to true good friends is especially extremely difficult. These are my partners, my buddy who have been there to support me and accompany me throughout the university life, and they spent so much good times and bad with, they seem to be like my family when I am away from home.

All in all, life is moving on, people does move on too. ALL THE BEST to my friends in your future undertakings, wherever you may be.

My frustration is more extremely bad during the final exam week. Therefore, I called up my roommate, ross to dine at Alamanda, Putrajaya tonight. I get so frustrated that there are many foods around there while we (6 of us, Phei2, PeiLin, SiewChi, roommates and me) can’t decide a place to dine at! I thought of having the Mc.Donald at the first place, but with only limited time on the dinner break as I have to spend the time for continuing on my studies, I have no choice but to eat at fast food places. I wish I had the luxury of sitting down and ordering a healthier option at a non-fast restaurant. Hahaha…

With only short dinner break, I have no choice but to eat at fast food places. I try to choose the healthiest options but sometimes I go for the non-healthy options because it just look so much “yummier”. During the time we dinner at McD. A friendly service waitress approached us,

Service Waitress: “Adakah u all ada apa-apa nak comment tentang McD branch kami?”

Me: “Kite baru first time dating kat sini, and this place is bagus and nice.”

Service Waitress: “Ye ke? Tapi, I rase I pernah nampak u all, kan yang datang biasanye dalam kumpulan-kumpulan.”

Me: “Takde la, kite betul-betul first time. I nak commen sikit, yang French Fries ni, saya rase terlalu masin.”

Service Waitress: “Oh, bolehkah I replace yang lebih sesuai untuk you?”

Me: “Waaaa (Surprising). Tak yah la, I boleh makan dan I dah makan separuh sudah.”

Service Wairtress: “Tadi I nampak you macam tak berselera makan kat sini. Takpe, I replace for u.”

All of us were shocked since the service waitress was being so much friendly and really DID believe what I’ve said to her. Haha… She really gave me the replacement of the French Fries with medium size. It looked and tasted so much yummy. Before we left the McD restaurant, she gave us compliments cards… Lovely!

We went back to MMU and enjoyed some quality time together on the way back to campus. Well this concluses my fifth blog post, once again I apologize for the grammar mistake and the babbling. I just can’t help it. >.<

It is 2.55am as I start this post. My bedtime is normally around 3am or 4am since I get up at 10am in the morning, but I can’t sleep and figured I’d blog about why I can’t sleep while the feelings are still fresh in my head.

You may know that I have been in the examination mood. Before the final exam, I did not spend and manage my time for studies correctly. The worst thing was I used to skip classes and even IF I attended, I never pay attention during the lecture. Some guidelines on how to study effectively where I used during the high school were taking notes, use abbreviations, and ask question and make good comments for the pro n cons in the application task. But it seems I did not USE this technique on my studies during the university life. For current semester, I am taking three tough subjects. I HATE DIC and VLSI with the STUPID UNFRIENDLY Intel workstation DA and IC software since the lab is only providing 10 licenses for 50 (VLSI students) and 80 (DIC students) in the whole semester. The thing make’em felt so sad were both the coursework marks, sigh~.

Back to the studies table, I keep trying, trying hard on it. I read actively. Because I believe, if you read without thinking, I guarantee that your mind will eventually wander off, your eyes will eventually glaze over, and you will fall asleep. Before the presentation of the Final Year Project, I did plan and make a study outline. I had a paper yesterday morning. It seemed fine and hopefully I would receive good grade after the next three/four weeks.

How do I know when I have studied enough during the preparation on exam? It’s not when I felt tired of studying! And it is not when I had gone through the studying material one time! I stopped when I get to the point that I feel confident and ready for whatever will be on the exam… the next coming paper will be on 18/5, VLSI subject, and the very last paper will be on 22/5, fabrication processing subject. I hope I could able to get good grade on this final! Dear TinGong, Popi me!!!

My negative feelings are welling up inside of me. There are so many things, so many materials, so many notes, so many tutorials, so many lectures slides where I have to pay attention with! What about my time, will that be enough for me on preparing it? Sigh~

Now it’s 3.11am and I still need to get up at 9am today for printing out the FYP Hardcover for my supervisor. I have to get back my bed and have a pleasant sleeping time now. All in all, a really upsetting evening for me when I really surprised for the coursework mark I received from both subjects! If I were more emotional like Phei, Peilin, Siewchi or either Ross, I would probably be crying!

FRIENDSHIP FOREVER!~

Choosing the MMU for continuing of studies, I learned very much and I really can tell you, all in all… it was a great time where I gained so much precious experiences.

I remember… as I arrived at MMU Malacca on the end of April 2002, it was a bad day. EP was fully occupied, I had to stay somewhere far from campus, I had bad impression of MMU since everything seemed to be lousy and not very welcoming! I did thought of leaving of MMU during the first day of registration, my sister insisted me to stay as I rejected Gamuda and Malaysia Airlines offers.

In the first two years from MMU Malacca to MMU Cyberjaya, I had to go through a heavy stressed program with a lot of courses and studies. For me, it was quite hard because I still had problem with my English proficiency especially the conversation with coursemates. Plus unforeseen circumstances during my first year degree, it was totally unlucky year and I thought I will never be back to MMU anymore. Life is moving on, the harder the situation is, and the stronger I am. With the support of good friends from MMU (I LOVE U ALL!!!) I needed always double my concentration on studies in order to complete the degree in 2007.

From varieties of assignments, lab reports, tough examinations over and over every year, I really appreciate those who borrowed me copied, lol and providing with the perfect solutions to me!!! 5 years now since 2002, I will keep improving myself, to be better, wiser, stronger, tougher, and eventually hope to receive what I want in future.

Guys and Girls, please pay more visiting on my blog okay… I will miss you guys after the dinner which is scheduled at 24, May 2007. The GRADUATION dinner with you…
